True about the Sigma but for low light indoors I use the Sony 35 f1.8 or most of the time my Sigma with Sony Flash.

Now I think Tamron/Song 17-50 with Sony/Tamron 70-300 is an option I would prefer, for missing range Sony 55-300 isn't bad also.

Actually that is the combination I have for my 2 bodies, A65 & 77. Sigma 17-70 on one and Tamron 70-300 USD on the other.

Miss use of the ability to do 100% pixel peeping is the bane of digital photography because it causes people to fret over inconsequential issues.
