If I'm right there is no direct correlation between DR and bit Depth. The bit depth relates to each pixel and gives you the following values:

2 ^ 12 = 4096 values for each pixel

2 ^ 14 = 16384 values for each pixel

With a larger bit depth you can theoretically have more different values for each pixel. But according to what I have read,  most sensors do not have that many different values and most, if not all the theoretical value are lost.
