Capturing RAW and previewing on camera question

Apologies if this has been asked before, i dont have a manual nor my camera with me right now so here goes:

I shoot in RAW exclusively using my D800E. I am also aware that all images previewed on the back of the camera are on-the-fly generated JPEG's (or otherwise). If i apply any sort of JPEG setting in the camera, will that appear in the generated JPEG?

I am mostly interested about Active-D Lighting as i would like to inspect the shadow noise produced and detail captured when opening the shadows. Its a matter of first, previsualizing and then previewing the result before doing any RAW adjustments later in post.

My RAW converter of choice will not read the camera settings (not using Nikon CNX) and will do a different work than in-camera RAW preview but this way i'll have a rough estimate

Thanks a lot!
