So how does the 14-42X behave on a camera that is quite severely affected by shutter shock?

I don`t believe it is, but if your having problems handling the camera why not add a thumbs up grip, sell it, or send it into Olympus for repair.

The 14-42X was introduced as kit lens for the Panasonic GX1 which has strong shutter shock. The combination of this camera and 14-42X was a very unlucky move by Panasonic.

I use the 14-42X a lot on my E-M5 and there shutter shock is minimal and with 1/8s anti-shock it is not an issue at all.

I`m not talking about the lens but I understood there were a few problems with it.

The EPM2 is fine, as is any other camera, the problems lay with there users, as always.
