Go back to using your other cameras
1

ApertureAcolyte, go back to using your other cameras and stop criticising other people's choices. I also own other cameras but never go around bashing other people's purchasing choices. You don't know anything about the DF other than what you have read from people who don't understand the camera, have never used it for more than five minutes, or don't appreciate what it has to offer. It's a great camera for those who appreciate it's unique character. I have had no problems whatsoever  manual focusing  my 50mm 1.4 lens. It's actually easier to focus with the DF then with my Sony alpha 850. The camera can be used just like my film slr's or like another dsrl. It offers both options. There are some compromises with any camera; but everything in life is a compromise.
