Dear all:

I know that the mirrorless camera does not have mirror, which can, in turn, help to protect dust from getting into your sensor like a DSLR. So, what is the best way to prevent dust from getting into your sensor, in some situation, like when you changing your lens?

Here's what I do. It's worked well for me so far over a number of years. I've not needed to wet clean a NEX so far.

  1. Try to minimize changing lenses outdoors, or in dusty environments
  2. Hold the camera with the sensor facing downwards when changing lenses
  3. Change lenses quickly
  4. Use a rubber bulb blower (like a rocket blower), to blow the dust from the sensor if you notice dust spots in your images
