Re: Declining MFT/mirrorless camera sales?

The NYT article is flawed by poor research. It predicts that DSLRs will be the one camera type not overwhelmed by camera phones. It predicts the downfall of mirror-less cameras, but fails to specify what mirror-less cameras it refers to. Point and shoot cameras are mirror-less. Cell phone cameras are killing the P&S market. Did the writer mean to include interchangeable lens mirror-less cameras as part of his use of the term "mirrorless'" or was he specifically referring to ILMC class. If the latter, then his analysis is wrong. In 2013 sales of DSLRs were down 15%. The sales of ILMC cameras were down 16%. With the two types having near identical performance concluding that DSLRs will prevail is not supported by the sales record. Looks like a tie to me.
