RX10 'motor' noise recorded in video - what can I do?

Neither the conspiracy joke nor the 'lots of cameras record motor noise on video' idea was valid here 2eyesee's camera had faulty microphone amplifiers with unacceptable hiss and random frying-bacon noises. His video clip makes that pretty obvious and the Sony guy's agreement to swap it out was the only sensible solution.
