Re: Will Nikon ever fix the d800 live view debacle?

While LV is not very bright in adverse lighting with small apertures the viewfinder with dof preview is worse

I do not have any issue slide duping at 1:1 on bellows with a diffuser between the slide and light source at f11using the 60mm AF macro D f11 and LV.

The D800 LV is suitable for many close up applications.

Digressing electronic viewfinders are much brighter in low light with slow lenses than conventional viewfinders. You could hire the latest Sony 36 MP 24x36 with a Nikon adaptor to see if this alternative meets your needs.

A great painter gets credit for artistic skill rather than owning marvellous brushes. Maybe photographers should challenge the common assumption a great photograph requires no more than a marvellous camera.
