Df goes to the Beach

I'm really enjoying the Df for its smaller size and truly wonderful low light abilities. Today, my Df went to the beach for landscape work since my D800 is off to Nikon due to focus issues. And, good thing that in a pinch the RRS D800 bracket works just fine on the Df.

The Df weathered a couple of good splashes from waves bigger than I expected with no apparent issues. I got quite a soaking too. And, a good reminder that the ocean is truly unpredictable.

Also, my first outing with the 18-35 f/3.5-4.5. I love the lightness of the 18-35 relative to the 14-24 and found it balances really well with the lightness of the Df. Still working to convince myself I'll be happy with the IQ for the times less weight is important.

A few from the Df...

Wave Cometh

Pescadero Beach Rocks

Seagull into the sunset

And, right after sunset the fog took over...
