Your Dream Oly/Lumix Camera

We've all dreamed of things we want; some do come true some don't. Some is very practical, some not so much. Post your dream cameras that you wish Oly/Pana makes. Describe the features you'd like. It could be very practical, or it could be wacky and out of this world. Who knows, maybe some guy from Oly/Pana will find it and make our dreams come true!

Some Ideas from me:

Practical ones:

  • A large sensor (m43 or APS-C) fixed standard lens (maybe 50mm f/1.4 equiv) with 5-axis IS and EVF (without a hump), with retro design and same size as the E-PM2, and an option for B&W sensor.
  • High end OM-D with larger sensor (maybe same size as the EOS 1D series) with same or better features as E-M1 and the same size.
  • OM-D model with a 12 megapixel sensor, so it will have larger pixel size, thus better noise performance/IQ to surpass APS-C cameras.

Wacky out of this world ones:

  • An m43 camera with dedicated PDAF sensor and hybrid OVF
  • Hybrid m43/43 camera the size of the E-M1
  • Interchangeable sensor camera (there is an actual patent from Nikon about this)
  • 12-150 f/2 lens
  • 25mm f/0.75
  • m43 versions of the SHG Zuiko telephoto lenses (like 50-200, 90-250, 150, and 300) that is a fraction the size and weight of their Zuiko brothers.
