Fireworks shots...shares and recommendations

It's the time of year again to post those wonderful lights in the eve of New Year.

These were taken last year with my departed HS30. My recommendation is to shoot with tripod and of course manual focus and long exposure but for those who cannot bring a tripod or monopod, try these settings as it may work for you.

Manual focus to infinity

Shutterspeed of 1/30s

ISO-1600 or lower depending on the condition of the sky

Largest aperture (f/2.8 in the case of HS camera)

Widest focal length

Continuous or Burst shot mode

These are some of the results using those settings:

I will go out tomorrow and shoot with my HS50 and other cam. Feel free to show yours and your recommended settings as well.
