GX7 video settings?

Hi!

I would love to get some feedback on what video settings you are using on the Panasonic GX7. The GX7 is my first camera that can record decent video so I'm very new to it all. I've read the manual but you don't get very much help in how to get the best results.

What mode is best to use? The M-Camera symbol mode? Or just stay in P or maybe S and record? I've read that it is important to decide what shutter speed to be used and a rule is to have shutter speed at 2x the FPS. So I use MP4 50p and should use a shutter of 1/100s. Do anyone think like this?

And deciding on what format to use, MP4 or AVHCD? I use MP4 now because it seems to work good in iMovie. I can't even see any difference between 25p or 50p but maybe higher is better?

I've found a setting in the Motion Picture menu that says "Flkr Decrease", should this be used? It says it will set the shutter speed to 1/50 or some other values but I can't understand what it will actually do.

Sorry for all the questions but I haven't found any answers to this and I would really appreciate some help. And maybe some of the questions could have been posted in the video forum..
