Conon 500D AF won't work
I have recently noticed that the autofocus on my Caonon 500D won't work. I bought the camera brand new when it first came out, and I have taken very good care of it since.
I was in Slovenia earlier this year and took hundreds of photographs of Lake Bled, without experiencing any problems at all. About a month ago I decided to take some more photographs and I noticed that my autofocus no longer works.
When I half-press my shutter button, I can normally here my camera autofocusing. Now I can only hear a very faint mechanical sound, but my camera lens will not focus.
Although I have had my camera for some time, I am still very much a beginner so would really appreciate any advice anyone can offer.
I thought I would ask here first before taking it to someone to get it repaired, just in case it's a simple thing I'm doing wrong.
Thanks very much,
