Acorn Woodpeckers

At least that's what my brother said they are called.

I took out my Canon 100-400/4.5-5.6 L lens and put on an adapter Canon EF to µ4/3. It is here:

100-400 on E-M5

With the smaller sensor, the effective zoom range is 200-800.

Manual focus is very difficult. Every little tiny movement of the zoom  ring seems too much. I used magnification, which I programmed to Fn2, on every shot, trying my best to get the birds in focus. I didn't do very well. These are a few efforts:

None of these are really great images IMO, but it was fun to have an 800mm effective focal length.
