Which software to combine with a D7100

Not a 100% sure if I should post on "our" Nikon forum or the general software "retouching" forum...if the thread has to be moved, feel free to do so!

I have a gap in my post processing workflow, and I'd like to know if other people who shoot with a D7100 or any Nikon system in general could help.

I'd say that half of the time I carry my tripod with me and I shot Hdr and the rest of the time is "whatever I find" walk-around photography.

When I shot Hdr I'm fine: I import the 5 pictures in Photomatix Pro, combine them and fix problems or add final touches in Paintshop Pro X6.

When I shoot regular pictures though I have a small problem. Paintshop is terribile at converting raw files, way too limited. Raw Therapee has been my software of choice for a long time (it's free, so it was great for learning back when I had my Sony Nex) but now it's showing his limitations.

Along with the new year there will be my birthday as well, so I'd like to get myself a nice gift and buy a good RAW handling software.

Most people use products from Adobe, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the new Dxo.

What would you guys suggest to handle the raw files from my D7100? Is there any software that is clearly ahead of others? (most of my photography is landscape or nature photography, if that helps).
