Metering in general ...

Hi there.

I'm a "happy" owner of a D3s. I have had some different Nikon body's over time, and NO one of them could get the metering right!!! I have tried just about everything I can think of, but the metering on my D3s always gets it wrong! (overexposed) Not in normal conditions, but if the target is "dark", it overexposes a LOT. My simple iPhone camera always gets it right! (Nikon, talk to Apple

How come Nikon can't make the metering just meter what it sees. If the subject is dark, make the picture dark, and if the subject is light, make it light. I can't understand why Nikon's metering makes dark subjects look to bright, - not natural.

Does anyone have some advise, that can help me, please ... ?

How good is the new Nikon Df metering compared to D700/D3/D3s and so on?
