A99 DMF Mode
I usually shoot my portraits in single point AF. I focus and recompose. Been doing it for years, on my Nikon and now on my new Sony system. I tried using the DMF focusing, and holy S**t it is freaking awesome. I have used it both for portraits and for landscapes. Being able to select the eye, then see what is in focus is incredible. When photographing my kids or an active subject it really helps. My keep rate has improved dramatically in just the last few days.
Another neat setup trick is to change the AF/MF button to toggle. That way you can release the shutter and then easily fine tune manually. It also works well when in low light and you have to manually focus.
No real point in my post just wanted to share my excitement.
So how many of you guys use the DMF function?
