Opinions Needed on Sigma 105mm F2.8 (OS) for PORTRAITURE

Could I get some users' opinions on the Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens for portraiture in particular? Yeah, I know it's a macro, but I found a pretty good offer (a friend wants to get rid his; it's brand new, guarantee valid). I've been looking for an AF 105mm f/2.8 lens for portraits, and this seems like a pretty good option.

I can read about sharpness and distortion and stuff on the net, but I'm particularly interested to know:

- how is bokeh, especially between f/2.8 and f/4

- how good are the ergonomics (manual focus feel; hood usage; etc.)

- AF accuracy (always in portraiture, i.e. non-macro range)

Any other comments very welcome.

If you must you can also suggest other lenses but know that I am not interested in other focal lengths. Having a 50mm prime, I prefer to own a 105mm lens rather than 85mm.
