Thanks OP,

I'm wondering if you selected the Minolta over other MF lenses of the era by checking a few out, or was it that you already owned one? I happen to have a MF AIS Nikkor 24mm f2.8 lens, but haven't bought an A7 yet to test it on. I'm hoping it's very good. A similar one was excellent on film. The Olympus, Canon and Pentax ones are also said to be pretty good.

If you did run any field tests, how did they compare?

Thanks. Cheers,

Rod

I'm using the Nikkor 20 f3.5 AIS and it's great.   The focus and aperture controls are great to use and the IQ is excellent.   I'm also happy with the size of the adapter/lens combination.   I don't have the 24 f2.8 AIS but I'd be surprised if you didn't get what you're expecting from it.
