12MM F2.0, too wide for me.

i remember a time long long long ago i thought the same. but i worked at a newspaper and parked my butt in photo when i had my computers on autopilot for any appreciable period of time and saw the photogs gear up to go on assignments and unless it was for outdoor sports they'd invariably mount the nikon 24/2.8 on at least one body. i also owned nikon bodies and one day they tossed me a spare 24mm to use and i was hooked after the first day and previously i had considered 35mm too wide!

today i consider the 24mm (equiv) my 'normal' lens as i tend more to landscape stuff. i have no probs shooting a 20mm and my 9-18mm olympus gets a lot of use at the wide end as well.

recently i acquired a gopro hero3+ black and i have to say that lens (a 14-15mm equiv) is too wide! some lessons are never learned i guess. but you can 'narrow' the fl in video mode and my image editor easily corrects for fisheye distortion in stills, so i'll report back after a year with it.
