why not look at a old legacy 45 or 50mm ? the minolta 45mm f2 is a verry good and compact lens

Well, in fact the Zeiss I'm looking at is legacy 50mm lens.
It looks like the only advantage of these Minolta lenses are their price. I've already got couple of inexpensive soviet 50 and 40mm lens. They require stopping down at least to f3.2.
I was also considering old Olympus OM 50/1.4 and 50/1.8 lenses ($80/$20 on eBay) but they seriously lack contrast and sharpness wide open.

Thanks again for useful advices, probably I really should stick to native Zuiko 45/1.8 at this moment.

well the Olympus 45mm is a great lens, no doubt. if you have the money to spend , just go for it.However if there is a tight budget(lets say 50$) legacy glass is a great alternative.

here is a threat of a comparison of the oly 45 vs pana-leica 45 vs minolta 45
