Massively extended battery life for D600/D800/etc. Godox' new 960 Battery pack

The battery life for Nikon's cameras outside the D# series isn't great for professional use. I carry quite a few but for timelapses or extended movies, it's not always possible to swap them over.

Step in Godox's new PB960 battery pack. It's designed to work with their AD180 and AD360 flashes, and is compatible with several other brands with the right cable.

But it might be possible to use this pack to power the camera for a loooooong time. Here's what I've found so far; please let me know what you think. Is it feasible? Safe?

The battery pack, produced under several different names -

The adapter for Nikon cameras -

The cable to connect the battery pack and adapter -

Now the adapter and cable are absurdly overpriced, but there are several off-brand options available.

Interestingly, a USB adapter is also available for the pack too, which may become invaluable to charge smartphones/tablets when on long trips.
