Hellow guys, its pleasure being part of this forum. I am new to this photography, I am planning to buy Canon 1100 D with Double Lens Kit (EF-S 18-55mm IS II + EF-S 55-250mm IS II)as a combo offer..which is around 28,000 Indian Rupees approx $ 466. But I also like Fuji hs50 which is a excellent bridge camera and has a zoom of 42x for the same price of 28,000.
Pls help me to decide which one should i buy.
Do you really need 42x zoom? Most such photos I see taken with cameras like the HS50 are just 'party tricks' like 'Look at this picture of this bird I took, he was 200 yards away' and you get this grainy hoto of a bird way far off which, well, what would you want it for? The big x-zoom numbers are meant to impress the general public, but really the Canon is cousin to some actual professional models; the HS50, not.
Do you want a camera that does party tricks or a camera that is capable of some truly very good photos? The HS50's IQ does not compare to that of the Canon. My only suggestion would be to see if you can get a deal on a 600D instead for nearly the same money. The 600D is well worth paying a premium for, but if money is tight and all else is equal, I'd get the Canon in a heartbeat. Those two 'kit' lenses are surprisingly good. And the Canon's sensor, while a few years old, is still a very good one.
