It doesn't, since I accept the facts in the article you are referring to. My answer relates directly to many of the posts where pixel peepers are more or less valid samples from the web as "proofs", as if these samples are "neutral" or "true" or can be directly compared.

OK. It's a big mistake to rely on a couple web samples to draw any conclusions for sure since it it is only a single sample of one fixed situation and environment. One must take hundreds of samples in a wide variety of lighting and environmental conditions to get a proper grasp of any cameras IQ capabilities.

Miss use of the ability to do 100% pixel peeping is the bane of digital photography because it causes people to fret over inconsequential issues.
