E-PM2 and RAW processing on an older Mac

Hi everyone,

Been lurking for a while, but didn't want to contribute without my own m4/3 to bring to the party. I just picked up the E-PM2 on Amazon's cyber week sale - great to play with, and in most ways a huge step up from my XZ-1 (which will still likely be used as my daylight travel camera).

My problem, however, is that I can't currently play with RAWs. I only started shooting RAWs on the XZ-1 this past spring, and relied on iPhoto to take care of processing. However, I have an older version of OS X (10.6.8 Snow Leopard) and older iPhoto that can't handle RAWs from the E-PM2. I can play with the files in Olympus Viewer 2, but suffice it to say I'm not happy with that solution.

I've tried to do a bit of research, and these appear to be my options:

- Upgrade to OS X 10.7 Lion and use newer iPhoto or Aperture, which should have RAW support for the E-PM2. This is assuming I can find Lion and a copy of iPhoto or Aperture that run on it.

- Grab LightRoom.

Either option would be running on a first-generation Mac Pro, which maxes out at 10.7 Lion (No Mountain Lion or Mavericks support).

Does anyone have good/bad experiences on each?

Any help is much appreciated!
