Hi

More or less.

What I mean is this: everything is the same between these 2, except for the UVIR filter not present over the sensor.

So, with an UV-IR cut filter, you will get something very close to the S5 output. There may be some color cast though due to the filter.

There are however 2 important things to keep in mind:

- first, those filters are expensive. I bought a 72mm one so I could use it with all my lenses, and I thinkit was close to 100€.

-secondly, thse are not like other filters. Part of the coating is special and thus has some limitations : it does not work well with wide angle lenses. I used it with 35mm lenses without problems. I think even 28 might be ok. But I wouldn't go much wilder than that.

If those limitations are not a problem, then it should work fine. It does for me and is the reason I am considerig selling my S5, since the IS can do most of the things the S5 does.

Hope this helps

Thank you so much, very instructive. If you decide to send your S5 please let me know.
