Fascinating distortion

There's just nothing like a fisheye lens & this is a really good example. Sharp, saturated images without flare - it's a good lens. Don't worry about manual focus & aperture, this isn't really a snapshot lens as the distortion usually requires playing about with the composition. Extreme wide-angle lenses have very deep fields so it can realistically be stopped down, set to the hyperfocal distance & be left like that.

I want to emphasis just how much fun can be had with a lens like this. Big landscapes, star fields, huge toddlers & tiny parents - it all works. Just be careful not to give people huge noses or to get your feet or fingertips in the frame. If there is a weakness it is that a filter can't be fitted so one needs to worry about not damaging the coating on the front element.
