Dear Ken,
I was just getting interested in this thread and would be sorry to see it shut down. Some of us value sharpness more than others, and I can see the Sigma image is sharper than the S110 image in the original post. It would be absurd "to compare a point and shoot with a full blown digital reflex camera" if the SLR were superior in every way. In this particular case, however, the "point and shoot" gives a sharper image than the SLR. It is a reasonable question to ask whether or not the SLR image can be sharpened in a natural way.
