The RX1 was DOA.

I wouldn't say that. It has been very well reviewed.

It can produce great images, at the cost poor handling.

The size and lack of grip make handling more problematic. A grip helps tremendously.

Unless you buy the EVF. Now the camera is being done in by Sony it self.

The add-on EVF is very good. It does remove the ability to use a flash trigger though, much like the smaller m43's, Panasonic LX7 and Olympus OX-series. The rear viewfinder however is very good. Nice resolution and able to be seen in bright light.  Much better than the X100s in that regard.

The fine CZ F2.0 lens, well why did they not make that lens for the R7s. No they made an 35 F2.8 Sonnar. The reason is that a FF camera that is mirror less size will not be a well balanced tool with anything but slow lens of limited focal lengths.

Not sure where you are getting that. FF benefit from not needing a mirror in the focal path and therefore can be designed with much lower flange back distance, just like m43 and APSC.

It may very well be that APC is the best sensor size for a well balanced mirror less. Even look at the Micro 3/4 cameras, how well balanced and efective they are. The RX1 was a camera that should have had some kind of viewer (besides it's LCD). Handling is so very important.

Some people prefer framing with the camera at arms length. For example, there is a video of a professional photographer using the X100 for a pro portrait photoshoot and he is always holding it at arms length. It can be an advantage for people who have problems keeping both eyes open or who have the other eye blocked of providing peripheral vision while shooting.
