Despite giving up on the E7...

... it seems Olympus is doing really good.

Olympus cameras are rating highly in DPReview recommends articles, camera of the year article by Andy, and "What to by and why" articles on DPReview. The poll DPR is conducting currently has Olympus as second most innovative company behind Sony--and we know Olympus and Sony are working together on some fronts. (Interesting to see Nikon and especially Canon falling in public opinion as an innovative company).

So, will the decision to focus hard on mirrorless instead of competing in the DSLR arena may be paying off? As a DSLR and mirrorless user, I can see both perspectives, but it seems Olympus may be partially justified in their decisions to move toward mirrorless. They have done better than I expected and I don't know if they could have done as well with an E7 instead.

What do you think?

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
