3rd party lenses are an ENORMOUS draw for the Sony A7 cameras. That doesnt help Sony with lens sales but it does sell cameras. There are all kinds of people looking to shoot their legacy glass digitally full frame on a mirrorless camera. They can now do so.

That's why I purchased an A7R yesterday, playing with the Nikon 58 and 52 f1.2 lenses and the results are superb, ordered a Zeiss ZM f2 35 & 50, liking the A7R a lot but it does kind of feel like a brick with a button.

I played with one in the store last weekend.  I was pretty amazed at how loud the shutter is on that camera.  Quite a gun going off there.

Sony's lenses are not a draw for me.  But the idea of Zeiss M glass on an A7 is VERY interesting.
