The D800 was my first Nikon camera. I really could use a second body. The Df offers something in addition to the capabilities of the D800. I do not need the FPS, build quality, size, weight or significant cost of a D4. There are probably quite a few other D800 owners that feel the same way. I'm picking mine up today.

Please give feedback as I own a D800 and is very tempted by the Df

I have only had the Df for a few dozen hours and less than a dozen frames. It is the perfect companion for the D800.

I have read ALL of the negative posts regarding the Df and I agree with most of them, but they are not deal breakers for me. I do not need the high FPS, robust build, the 2 card slots, and all of the other attributes of the D4. The Df can deliver the same amazing, low light, dreamy images of the D4 for less than half the cost. In a smaller, lighter, less obtrusive package.
