is the new 12-40 better than the 14-35?

I'm thinking the 12-40 might be the better overall lens than the 14-35.  I'm finding the 14-35 performs great on my em1 and in fact focuses about 2x faster than on my e5.  I have the 12-40 on order and I've been researching to try to decide what do to with the 14-35.
I always can drop to the 12 f2, 25, 1.4, 45 1.8 or 75 1.8 when I want a faster lens.
To be fair when you look at the blur graphs, move the f stop slider to f2.8 on both lenses. The 14-35 is better at 35 than the 12-40 at 35 both at f2.8 while the 12-40 is a bit better at 14 and f2.8 than the 14-35 at 14 and f2.8

At the normal range of 25mm and best resolution for both lenses at f4, the 12-40 is significantly better than the 14-35.
