Re: Df disappointment

You missed the point... as stated earlier, having dual card slot is nice, but I was just trying to demonstrate (with a tad of humor) that it wasn't as important as you seem to advocate: not buying a camera because that feature is missing is a bit extreme... memory card failures do happen, but are extremely rare, the dual card slot feature might even fail more frequently than a memory card itself... If you're looking for redundancy, you need to duplicate equipment that is most likely to fail in the 1st place: camera body with lenses and flash, now having 2 cameras both featuring dual card slot is nice, but not the 1st thing to think of...

I remember (not that many years ago...) of pro cameras with single card slot... it may sound crazy, but people have shot weddings with such cameras

Oh wait, now I remember of pro film cameras using a single roll of film, OMG, no redundancy!

I can't wait till pro cameras do offer dual hotshoes, anticipation is driving me mad

I kinda knew that some amateur would reply with such a comment however the fact remains that many many film photographers lost whole rolls of film and that people have had corrupted memory cards.

have two memory card slots aids against losing images when those images cannot be taken again, its really as simple as that.

it's just there for safety encase something happens, do you not put on your car seat belt because you're sure you won't be crashing today?
