I've been trying out an 85/1.2 this past weekend with the 1DX. I started to adjust the AF microadjustment settings and noticed that it seems to require a fair amount, around +15 maybe +20. (Admittedly, I haven't had to do any microadjustment with e.g. 24-70/2.8; it seemed to work fine without any).

Have people noticed that some lenses require more microadjustment than others? Is this something that I should expect to do with the 85/1.2 (whereas not so much with the 24-70/2.8)?

Well the extremely narrow depth of field at f/1.2 is going to emphasise any errors that may not be evident at f2.8 (and you are not quite comparing apples with apples either with regards to focal length).
