nx cameras don't need green button because they only have one "program line"

pentax k5 for example has several ( 'normal", "dof prioritization", etc) and pressing that button on it  simply meters to specific "program line" you select. nx cameras do it automatically as soon as you turn them on. you simply tweak shutter speed/aperture/iso and you watch that meter scale on the bottom of your lcd screen and - depending on how experienced you are with camera - hit 'zero" ( I normally underexpose because retrieving lost shadows in pp is much easier, than retrieving overexposed highlights- if possible at all). also I love my little placticky nx1000 because it gives me instant preview of exposure on the screen so I don't have to waste time reading histograms like I do on my k5
