VENICE - Very nervous. I await the flak !

Kind words, thanks to all. But if you take a look at Moti's Venice shots you will see why I feel rather aesthetically challenged. :-(

I think you are underestimating yourself. I had a look at your web site and you really have great photography there. And for Venice, I'd dream to find a catch as your first photo.

Cheers

IMO Venice is NOT a place to walk around with a tripod ! In many places it is so crowded that there is no place for those three leg + your 2 legs .... Perhaps some night shots.

I had only my Canon G1X in Venice - and next time i will have my Fuji X-E1. High ISO ISO is good that there is no need for a tripod , really. And DR 200 or even 400 will help with the high contrast.

I hate carrying too much gear - especially a tripod

I had a circ.pol.filter with me in Venice and it was useful in some places (the water).

I liked especially the last image ! - some images before it were a bit "overcooked" in PP.

4 and 6 are gorgeous

1 is super cute n fun

Nice work.

And YOUR vision, and your take on Venice, are what's important. The other guy you referenced has his own experiences to build on, and that is what makes it fun to see different photographers work on the same subject. Never gets old.

Great stuff - I loved the first one but they are all fun. I must have quite a few of Santa Maria and the arches at St Marks.
