Re: 28mm fixed focal length

To be clear, I have less need of a zoom lens on a compact camera, because I am an SLR shooter, and have the option of bringing the bulkier equipment when I anticipate the need for longer focal lengths. Others' needs may vary.

Indeed, I see the A as a complement to an SLR, a quite compact alternative to toting a 28mm or other wide-normal lens, with no need to take the additional time swap lenses.

I wear a badge and pistol, and, primarily with 7D cameras, with 10-22mm and 100mm Macro L lenses, shoot evidentiary images at night, which incorporates elements of portrait, macro, still life, landscape, architecture, PJ, and occasional action. During personal time, I enjoy using both Canons and Nikons.
