I leave IBIS on all the time. I don't even turn it off when using a tripod, which has worked OK for me but as mentioned isn't recommended.

I also leave mine turned on when on the tripod, mainly because I will forget to turn it back on again once I've turned it off. Can't say I've had any issues with it.
