Re: Switch from E620 system to m43

Thanks to all

I did look into it a little further based on the various replies. Most informative. It does look like there is a lot to be gained now from getting out of the E620 and switching to another m43 camera made from 2012 onwards.

The downside is that right now the only body which really supports 43 lenses is pretty pricey. Any of the G5/G6/EP5/EM5 would probably be more than good enough for me. My hesitation with switching outiright to m43 that the affordable zooms seem pretty slow (and still quite pricey). The only comparable lense to the 14-54 seems to be the 12-40 (which is a little short and outright expensive). Also, from what I now see, it isn't muich smaller/lighter than 14-54.

I am going to see if I can get my hands on an EM5 with the 12-50 kit lense to test for a bit. It might be that the combination trounces my E620/14-54 just due to the improved sensor etc. If so, I might sell the E620,  70-300, 40-150 x2 and FL36, which should cover most of  it (hanging on to the 11-22 and 14-54). I can then trade into the EM1 when prices have dropped a bit (and use the remaining lenses with that).
