Re: When a fuji user buys a Nikon... (and still keeps his Fuji)

I wonder if this is what people mean when they talk about the massive weight difference, primes versus fast zooms? Even fairly fast primes are not that heavy, in general, and a 1.8 on full frame is pretty much faster than anything you would put on an APS-C camera or what few APS-C-specific lenses out there.

I am looking at a 6D, and yes, the body is like two X-E1's, but still not like a concrete block, and the lenses I am interested in getting, 50/1.4 and 85/1.4, are as light as or lighter than the rough XF equivalents (I am guessing at the 56/1.2, since Fuji has never got it out yet), and way cheaper.

I far prefer shooting with my X-E1, but comparing slipping a 6D with a 50/1.4 in my backpack versus my X-E1 with the 35/1.4, it just doesn't make me cringe.

My dream is the day that focus and lens selection on mirrorless match that of dSLRs, but I am beginning to think that is not so likely to happen for a long time, if ever. For the next several years, I feel we will need both options, for different uses.
