Yeah, that's not what I meant. You won't have E-TTL on the receiver unit (the off-camera one), but you might on the transmitter unit (the one on the camera), because in principle the flash on it is wired to all the connections on the hotshoe. Various documents say a 603 provides full pass-through, but I wouldn't assume anything with flash. I hope someone can answer your question with first-hand experience.

I just wanted to know if this setup will work - I supposed it should, since transmitter has a hotshoe on top of it, but I never used these things, so I wanted to make sure.

I know the 622s work that way...
