Re: Mirrorless vs DSLR

I read that earlier

a quite sensible and analytical essay

in a few years when the EVF technology matures , mirrorless will take over OVF whether we like it or not

OVF will become a niche market for those who swear by optics

I use both and find each has its own advantages

Best about EVF:

WYSIWIG

live histogram

low light

true color rendition

Best about OVF:

clear view

better for moving objects

shorter 'outage'

Canikon still has the advantages on legacy lenses/mount so will keep market share for a while

But eventually (not sure in how many more years, max 7?), mirrorless will dominate , not unlike the SLR taking over the RF in the 60s

cheers,
