I have a Panasonic GH2, G1 and an Olympus OM-D E-M5 in use, so it's easy to compare the jpeg characteristics for me.

In one sentence: Panasonic jpegs are inferior.

They usually have a yellowish colour tint compared to Olympus jpegs.

Olympus jpegs are sharper ooc and have better contrast.

In camera adjustments did help a little, but imho the Panasonic jpeg engine is flawed.

The GH3 and GX7 (probably, I don't have one) have much improved jpeg compared to GH1 and GH2 -- which I owned prior to GH3.  The difference compared to Oly is far less and the yellowish blotches are gone or not noticeable at normal shooting ISOs -- which for me is 3200 or lower, and seldom above 1600.
