Black Only Printing
Still like this mode, especially for my fine art prints, but also photos. Don't live life through a loupe and I am amazed at quality; can even ask why we need 3-4 gray scale inks. I like being able to load a single black position cartridge with pigment ink.
Unfortunately, at a certain point, Epson drivers went from Color/Black option to Color/Grayscale. Are there any wide-format printers where the driver still was Color/Black. 1160 is out, can't find one where the paper advance works, although I still have empty, non-chipped cartridges for this printer; 1280 is out, unable to find ARC chip cartridge for black position. 1400 is Color/Grayscale and I didn't care for the BO option with a QuadToneRip try out.
Right now, getting beautiful prints from the R220 with pigment ink in black position (ARC chip refillable cartridge). Any other possibilities? Thanks.
