Ha! Confirmed! E-M5 and E-M1 has just as good video!

Well, DPR has confirmed that the video capabilities of the GX7 is equal to the E-M5 and E-M1.

I truly did not realize the be-all and end-all of video these days was to have 5-axis IBIS...because unless I'm truly mistaken, GX7 beats both of these in video in all other ways. Well, E-M1 does have an external mic input...but then again, E-M5 doesn't, so it couldn't be that much of an issue.

Odd, I would have thought, if a user was truly into video, and if their options were GX7, E-M5 and E-M1 (i.e. GH3 not an option for whatever reason), they would go for the one with the camera with the best codec, second only to GH3, has focus peaking, full manual controls, etc. etc... but I guess DPR believes, as long as the camera has IBIS, the E-M5 is just as good as the GX7. I think I need to go back to school as my understanding of video doesn't seem to be up to snuff as I don't quite understand this reasoning.

On the other hand, I truly wished Panasonic would have enabled (somehow) IBIS during video. Maybe next version. Oh, and add a mic port while you are at it. No harm to GH3 as those really into video would still get the GH3.
