I can not decide please help with my selection!
Hello, I have been having such a difficult time trying to decide on this simple "Point and Shoot" pocket size Digital Camera.
My current camera is that small but now a bit bulky Canon Power Shot SD600 Digital ELPH (3x zoom, 6.0 MP) which served me well. I need more zoom and decided to up grade for everyday use, shows and concert venues, Travel and family, etc.
The following are important to me :
2) Battery Life
3) Shake / hand stable control
4) Low Light capability
5) Price around $300 or less
I have came up with the following models (listed SOME pros and cons there must be a lot more) :
1) Canon Powershot ELPH 330 HS
Pros: Price, ISO up to 6400, Size.
Cons: 10 x zoom, Low battery Life.
2) Canon Powershot SX260
Pros: 20 x Zoom. bit older model so price is lower now.
Cons: ISO only up to 3200, Digic 5, Low Battery Life.
3) Canon Powershot SX 280
Pros: 20 x zoom, ISO up to 6400, Digic 6.
Cons: Low Battery Life with Firmware concern(?)
4) Sony DSC WX300
Pros: 20 x zoom Long Battery Life, Small, 20 mp. Cons: I found it bit hard to hold and operate.
5) Sony DSC HX50V
Pros: 30x zoom, Long Battery Life, 20 mp.
Cons: Price, LCD under sunlight is useless?
I know anything I would buy would be an upgrade, but I would like to make sure I make the best choice. I have been to at least 4 camera shops and spent several hours with those. (Have not seen Sony DSC HX50V). Also been reading reviews everywhere.
