Re: Overlooked details

1/ electronic viewfinders are not instant so less than ideal for action photography

2/ electronic viewfinders maintain their brightness in low light and with slow aperture lenses and converters so often better in this respect

3/ the usually reduced lens bayonet to sensor distance causes more corner shading and image quality issues with the lenses specifically designed for the short distance.

4/ none of the mirror less systems have as wide a range of lenses as Nikon or Canon

5/ new Canon and Nikon bodies are being lighter reducing the weight difference. The electronic viewfinder prisms seem as large as on Nikon or Canon so no sizes saving here.

6/ in camera body image stabilisation in the new cameras is generally two stops less efficient than current in lens stabilisation in Nikon and Canon.

Many problems turn out to be a lack of intimate knowledge as to how to get the best out of modern and often complex camera equipment.
