Olympus 12-40 easily beats the Canon 17-55 at f/2.8 (but not when stopped down).

Posted more shots higher up in this thread now.

My 17-55 wasn't bad. The tree shot was clearly not the best. But what I did notice is that the 17-55 improved more from f/2.8 to f/4 than the 12-40 does. The 12-40 is plenty sharp at f/2.8 already. The 17-55 in a few other shots does very well.
